Dallas Cowboys head coach Brian Schottenheimer is not worried about CeeDee Lamb, who had several drops in Sunday’s game against the Philadelphia Eagles. On Monday, Schottenheimer spoke to reporters about how much Lamb has meant to the Cowboys this season.

“CeeDee’s an incredible player. He’s not a good player. He’s an incredible player,” Brian Schottenheimer said, per Jon Machota of The Athletic. “I think the biggest thing for CeeDee is to know we love him, we trust him. The ball is going to keep coming his way.

“The big go-ball that he caught down the field was incredible. “There are some weeks that you have great games, and other weeks where you’re like, ‘Hey man, yeah, I didn’t play as good as I can play.’ But when we start drawing up plays for Kansas City, I’ll give them a little heads up, there will be a lot of them going to 88.”

CeeDee Lamb finished the day with just four catches on 11 targets. So far this year, the All-Pro wide receiver has caught 44 passes for 632 yards and two touchdowns. Lamb has missed three of the Cowboys’ 11 games this year due to an ankle sprain he suffered earlier in the year. It has led to George Pickens being the go-to receiver for Dallas, as he has caught 67 passes for 1,054 yards and eight touchdowns.

Dallas sports radio host calls out CeeDee Lamb

The good news for Lamb is that the Cowboys defeated the Eagles 24-21 after being down 21-0. Lamb didn’t speak to the media after the game, which led to Shan Shariff of 105.3 The Fan calling him out.

“Right now, CeeDee Lamb is acting like a fake leader. He’s a fake leader. I wanted to jump fully on board because he charms us and wins us over every year when we sit down with him in Oxnard. He is real, and he is genuine. And I do believe he is an absolute beast. And he is a number one receiver,” Shariff said on Monday, per Randy Gurzi of Sports Illustrated.

“He’s not this team’s number one receiver right now. You better be damn sure Brian Schottenheimer, while drawing up the Chiefs game plan, is thinking he better be thinking of George Pickens 1-1-B and than CeeDee. Real leaders don’t act like this.”
