Jordan Love injury update: Latest on Packers QB after exit vs. Bears

Green Bay quarterback Jordan Love is back on the Packers sideline with his helmet after suffering an elbow injury earlier in Sunday’s game against the Chicago Bears.
But whether the franchise QB returns to the game is a matter of Green Bay head coach Matt LaFleur‘s “gut.”
“Jordan Love, we saw he was back out here. Matt (LaFleur) said that elbow is feeling better,” FOX sideline reporter Laura Okmin said midway through the third quarter Sunday. “I did ask him if we were going to see (Love back in the game), he said, ‘We’ll see.’ I did ask what would determine why you put him back in, and he said ‘my gut.'”
ProFootballTalk reported Love’s injury stems from hitting his “funny bone,” which caused “numbness and tingling.“
Backup Malik Willis replaced Love in the second quarter after it was initially reported Love injured his hand.
Once Willis entered the game, he led the Packers to a touchdown, cutting the Bears lead 14-10 with 11:12 to go in the second quarter. Love was seven-of-12 passing for 69 yards before exiting with a hand injury.

Coming into the game, Love had 3,320 yards, 25 touchdowns, 11 interceptions and a 63.2% completion percentage. The Packers already clinched a playoff spot going into the regular season finale, but their seeding was not finalizing.
Jordan Love out, Malik Willis in at QB
Going into Sunday, Green Bay needed a win and a Washington Commanders loss to improve to the No. 6 seed. As of now, Love and the Packers are the No. 7 seed and would go to Philadelphia to play the No. 2 Eagles in the NFC Wild Card round.
With Love out, Willis stepped in at QB. It wasn’t the first time either. He stepped in late during the season opener amid a loss to the Eagles.
While Love was shelved with an injury earlier this season, Willis showed some promise as a former third round pick.
He went 2-0 as a starter and coming into the game, Willis had 414 yards, three touchdowns, zero interceptions and a 73.2% completion percentage.
