Historically, Texas Tech has dominated the series. The Red Raiders hold a 23-3 record all-time over the Jayhawks. However, Kansas’ record books only counts two of their own victories.

Texas Tech’ dominance has seen the Red Raiders all but one of their meetings since 2001. The lone exception came in 2019 when the Jayhawks defeated Texas Tech 37-34 on their home turf.

The Red Raiders have won the last four matchups in the series since, including 16-13 last season in Lawrence. Texas Tech is 11-2 all-time as the home team in this conference matchup.

This year, Kansas has had a bumpy start to its season. On the flip side, Texas Tech blew out each of its opponents through its first four games. It’ll be interesting to see how the Red Raiders bounce back after a big-time conference win against previously undefeated Houston.

Texas Tech has high hopes for the remainder of the season — as high as the College Football Playoff. However, Kansas would love to play spoiler in Lubbock on Saturday. According to Vegas, though, doing so will be easier said than done.
