As the NASCAR world has all eyes on the Greg Biffle-owned plane crash, Justin Marks has taken time to write a statement. The Trackhouse Racing co-owner posted a touching message about the racing community during this awful moment in time.

Tragedy is not new to NASCAR and racing. That doesn’t make it any easier whenever it happens. Justin Marks captured that sentiment well in his post this afternoon.

“One of the silver linings to such a small and intertwined industry is the support and love we have for every member of the NASCAR family,” Marks posted on X/Twitter. “Today is a tough one. We’ve lost a family that made contributions far beyond the racetrack. Rest in Paradise friends.”

Garrett Mitchell, best known by his YouTube persona, Cleetus McFarland, confirmed that Greg Biffle and his family were on the plane. They were on their way to spend the afternoon with Mitchell and his family. There has been no official word yet as to who was on board, but officials have confirmed there were six deaths.

This is a tragic day, and it has the entire NASCAR world on hold at the moment. As the afternoon has gone on, it has started to become clear that everyone’s worst fears are true.

Cleetus McFarland confirms Greg Biffle, family on plane

An unfortunate update to the Greg Biffle-owned plane crash. Garrett Mitchell, known as Cleetus McFarland, shared the new information. According to Mitchell, Biffle and his wife and kids were on the plane that crashed today.

Garrett Mitchell says he can confirm the news because Greg Biffle and his family were on their way to see the YouTube star. Mitchell and Biffle had grown close over the years, with Biffle assisting Mitchell in his part-time ARCA starts in 2025.

“Unfortunately, I can confirm Greg Biffle, his wife Cristina, daughter Emma, and son Ryder were on that plane… because they were on their way to spend the afternoon with us. We are devastated. I’m so sorry to share this,” Mitchell posted on his Facebook page.

There are reports from officials saying there were six fatalities in total. Kenny Wallace posted on his social media that Craig Wadsworth was also on the plane. Wadsworth had many friends in the NASCAR community.
