Tonight in the 7-10 game as part of Day 2 of SEC Tournament play, Texas A&M begins another quest for the tourney championship vs. Ole Miss after coming in runner-up each of the last two seasons.

The Aggies limped into Tampa off a very up-and-down conference slate in 2021-22 and ultimately made a spirited run to the championship game on Sunday before having their hearts broken by barely being left out of the NCAA Tournament field anyway. Well, they’re in a similar situation this year and it’s the Rebels who stand in their path before a second-round rematch with Kentucky for whoever wins this game.

Before tip-off later this evening, check out all of the relevant information on the matchup below — point spreads, predictions, TV info, etc.

Odds for Ole Miss vs. Texas A&M

FanDuel spread: Texas A&M -5.5 points
FanDuel money line: Texas A&M (-225), Ole Miss (+184)
FanDuel over/under: 141.5 total points

Texas A&M fans might be pretty surprised to see the Aggies only favored by 5.5 points on FanDuel, which is actually a decent amount considering these two teams finished very close to each other in the standings. However, they actually faced one another in their last game of the regular season, with A&M winning in Oxford by 26 points. Although, the Rebels did win in College Station back in January.

Final score predictions

KenPom final score: Texas A&M 74, Ole Miss 70
KenPom win probability: Texas A&M 64%

A&M gets the KenPom nod as well with a predicted four-point victory, a bit lower than the spread suggests it will be. Really, Ole Miss has been on a downslide ever since their last matchup. The Rebels were 4-3 in league play after that win and then got to 5-3, but after that, they lost eight of 10 to end the regular season. So, Texas A&M is certainly playing the better ball as we enter the postseason.

BPI prediction: Texas A&M by 5.4 points
BPI win probability: Texas A&M 74.3%
BPI matchup quality: 78.4 (23rd of the day)

To wrap up an A&M sweep in the prediction game, ESPN’s Basketball Power Index is more in line with FanDuel than KenPom, believing in a win by more than five points for the Aggies. Meanwhile, it also gives A&M nearly a three in four chance of pulling off the win to survive and advance.

After their losing streak, Ole Miss is now in need of an SEC Tournament title to make the NCAA Tournament. Meanwhile, Texas A&M is square on the bubble and once again needs to make a splash in the SEC tourney to give themselves a shot at the Big Dance. Beating Ole Miss, and then Kentucky, could really do wonders for their cause.
