Report: Tee Martin interviewing for multiple NFL offensive coordinator jobs
The Detroit Lions and Washington Commanders will interview Tee Martin for their open offensive coordinator positions next week, per Jordan Schultz. Martin has been the Baltimore Ravens’ quarterbacks coach since 2023.
The Ravens are in a period of flux after firing longtime head coach John Harbaugh. Harbaugh had been the Ravens’ HC since 2008. The organization fired Harbaugh after the Ravens’ narrowly missed the NFL playoffs due to a season-ending loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers.
Now, Tee Martin will have an opportunity to land his largest position yet. Before coaching quarterbacks for the Ravens, he was the team’s wide receivers coach.
Martin has been on no NFL staff outside of the Ravens. However, he boasts a surplus of collegiate experience, with stints at Power Four programs such as USC, Kentucky and Tennessee.
Before stepping into the coaching realm, Martin played quarterback at Tennessee from 1996-99. He was Peyton Manning‘s backup during his first two years with the team but started in his final two seasons.

In 1999, Martin was an All-SEC First-Team selection and led the Volunteers to a national title. Martin played in the NFL from 2000-05 before retiring. In a recent interview with 6 News, Martin discussed his coaching ambitions.
“I wanted to be a coach since I was a kid,” Martin said. “When I was really, really young, before I really started organized football, I used to get the guys together in the community, and we would bring our T-shirts, and we would write different team names on the front and put numbers on there, and I was kind of the guy that organized everything, but also played. So, I knew that I wanted to coach at some point when I was done playing.
“Professionally, I really wanted to be like my coaches. … Randy Sanders was the type of coach that I wanted to be like as far as having a great relationship with your players, but also being a really thorough football coach, and so, that’s who got me really into major college coaching.”
Major is the correct term for Martin’s current endeavors. In 2023, he helped Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson win the NFL Most Valuable Player Award. Now, Tee Martin will offer his talents to another organization among the professional ranks.
