Takeo Spikes calls Bills out for giving him terrible seat accommodations
Former Buffalo Bills star Takeo Spikes isn’t too happy with the team. Accommodations for the linebacker’s return were not up to his standard, and you can probably understand his frustration.
Spikes attended Sunday’s Raiders-Bills game at Highmark Stadium. He was invited to the game as a legend, but didn’t feel like he received legendary treatment. In particular, the two-time Pro Bowler was upset with his seating.
The former linebacker blasted the organization on social media, saying he left Sunday’s game early because of the situation. He also posted a photo of his view … which was partially restricted.
“Congrats to (the Buffalo Bills) for getting a dominant win in home opener,” Spikes wrote. “I wish I could’ve stayed for the entire game but seating accommodations were NOT the standard. How you gonna have the (NFL Legends) supporting this obstructed sample size of a view!? Felt like I was in timeout.”
Obviously, Spikes thought he deserved a better seat and treatment from the organization. Since he didn’t get it, he decided to leave the game. He missed a dominating performance, with Buffalo pummeling Las Vegas 38-10.
Spikes played for five NFL teams over the course of a 15-year NFL career. He spent four seasons with Buffalo (2003-06), recording some of his best years with the Bills.
Spikes’ only two Pro Bowl selections came as a member of the Bills, earning the honor in 2003 and 2004. He was also a first-team All-Pro selection in 2004, the only time in his career.

The 2004 campaign was one of the most productive of the linebacker’s career. he tallied 96 tackles, 16 passes defended and five interceptions, including two pick-sixes. Spikes was also responsible for three forced fumbles and three sacks.
Apparently, the Bills forgot the type of impact he had on the team.
Takeo Spikes spent 15 years in the NFL
Spikes’ time in Buffalo accounted for just a quarter of his NFL career. He enjoyed a 15-year career in the league, playing his final two seasons with the San Diego Chargers in 2011 and 2012.
Coming out of Auburn, Spikes was selected No. 13 overall by the Cincinnati Bengals in the first round of the 1998 NFL Draft. He played for the franchise through the 2002 season before heading to Buffalo.
After his time with the Bills, Spikes also had stops with the Philadelphia Eagles (2007) and San Francisco 49ers (2008-10) before ending his career in San Diego.
Spikes racked up 1,493 tackles, 29 sacks and 19 interceptions during his career. He was also responsible for 17 fumble recoveries, 15 forced fumbles and four defensive touchdowns.
