'The Blind Side' star Quinton Aaron hospitalized, on life support
Quinton Aaron, the actor who played former Ole Miss and NFL offensive lineman Michael Oher in the film The Blind Side, is on life support after being hospitalized, according to TMZ . Aaron collapsed at his home and has been hospitalized for four days.
Aaron’s wife, Margarita, told TMZ that her husband is partially breathing on his own, which is a good sign. She added that Aaron has a blood infection, and doctors are still running tests to find out the cause of the issue.
Margarita, a registered nurse, told the outlet that Quinton Aaron woke up one morning feeling sore but thought it was from sleeping poorly. He still had pain in his neck and back a few days later and lost feeling in his legs as he was walking up the stairs. Margarita helped Aaron up the stairs, laid him down, and called 911.
“He’s showing a lot of improvement,” Margarita said. “We all have faith in God that he will walk out of here fully recovered.”

In 2023, Oher filed a lawsuit against Leigh Anne and Sean Tuohy, alleging that they tricked him into a conservatorship shortly after he turned 18. This led to people calling for Bullock to return her Oscar, which then led to Aaron backing Bullock.
“I feel like a lot of those people, I don’t like name-calling. A lot of those people are just like the looters in riots that like to start stuff and escalate. First of all, nobody should come for her Oscar. If you try to come for her Oscar, you’re gonna have to come for me, ’cause I’m going to be her polar bear. I’m gonna stand in between,” Aaron told Entertainment Tonight at the time.
“Sandra Bullock is an amazing human being. She’s going through a tough time herself in her life right now, and I really think people should just leave her alone, because she did her job.”
