Tyler Reddick wins Roval pole, full NASCAR Cup Series qualifying results

Step one is complete for Tyler Reddick and the No. 45 team. He is on the pole for the Charlotte Roval over Shane van Gisbergen. The Roval track gave everyone trouble. That included SVG, who is usually head and shoulders above the competition on the road courses.
Today, Tyler Reddick grabs the pole. Now, he just has to put together a complete race and win his way into the Round of 8. Granted, Reddick has yet to win a race this season.
What a lap from Reddick. This is a huge statement from the 45 team. They are not going to roll over and let this race get away from them. It’s going to be a fight.
Of course, Shane van Gisbergen is still very much a threat to win. He starts on the front row and will have plenty of time and patience to find his groove. The pressure isn’t on him as a non-playoff driver. It’s completely on Reddick. Full qualifying results below:
A lot of the usual suspects are up in the top-10 in qualifying. Ty Gibbs, Chris Buescher, Michael McDowell, and AJ Allmendinger are not in the playoffs. But those drivers all qualified in the top-10 for Sunday’s race. They will all be a threat to win as well.
Kyle Larson has found speed once again. Christopher Bell and Chase Briscoe continue to perform well on the road courses. Ross Chastain even had a good qualifying result.
For Austin Cindric, things are difficult. He starts P19. Joey Logano isn’t much better and is at a real risk of being beaten in points if Chastain has a great day.

Tyler Reddick is out front when the green flag falls. Can he clutch the win and advance in the NASCAR Playoffs?
Tyler Reddick trying to walk-off at the Roval
We have seen drivers in the past get walk-off wins at the Roval. Sam Mayer has done it in the Xfinity Series. Christopher Bell did it in 2022 in the Cup Series. That season, he had two walk-off wins to make the Championship 4.
For Tyler Reddick, the easy plan is to win. Points don’t matter. Just go out and win. We have seen Reddick in the Xfinity Playoffs have great performances. He’s had those clutch moments in the past. So, can he do it again, but in the Cup Series this time around?
The one thing that stinks for 23XI Racing is that they can really only get one of their drivers to the next round. If Reddick wins, it likely pushes Bubba Wallace too far down the standings to get close on points. If it comes to points, neither is likely to advance.
So, a lot to think about for Tyler Reddick. He has the pole, so the first box is checked. Now all that is left to do is go racing.
