Blake Neal

Having played many sports throughout my life, Football is the sport that I was clearly built for. I began flag football around the age of 5 or so and have loved the game ever since. I have learned many life lessons over the years through the game of football. I truly love the feeling of winning as a team, but I have also felt the pain of losing a significant game, and the feeling of improvements that I can make, or work on for the next game. I enjoy my coaches, friends, and yes even my opponents, as they each make me a better person and athlete with every experience. It is truly my dream to play division I football after high school. Though I have been injured most of my freshman year of High School football, this too has taught me much. I have learned the importance of taking care of my body, knowing when to push it, and when not to. I have also valued my time supporting my teammates on the sidelines. I have been on the field in the past and saw one of my injured teammates standing on the sidelines supporting us, and now, I also have that perspective. This is my first ever significant injury. I understand how badly I want to be on the field with my friends and school, but I also understand that I can only be out there if I am healthy and pain free. As an incoming freshman, I am fully determined to enjoy my High School years and the learning experiences that come with that, while preparing myself in every way possible to hopefully play college football.
