Cole Cabana is one of the top pass-catching running backs in the 2023 cycle. His burst and ability to catch the ball out of the backfield or even split out as a receiver reminds us a bit of James Cook. 

Electric playmaker with the ball in his hands who lived in the endzone during his junior season. Scored 28 total touchdowns with nearly 2,200 all-purpose yards during his junior campaign. Top-end speed is top tier. Terrific sprinter who ran 6.43 in the 55m, 6.82 in the 60m and a blistering 10.55 100m during his junior track and field season. Excellent wiggle and change of direction. Plays with a low center of gravity and tremendous field vision. Quality pass catcher who should be effective in the passing game at the next level. Build is lean now but should add solid muscle mass as he works in a collegiate strength and conditioning program. Never going to be a bruiser but plays physically. Terrific all-around skillset who has the chance to fill an immediate change-of-pace role early at the next level and potentially be the workhorse down the line. NFL potential is capped due to size, but still has NFL upside. 

Cole Cabana Scouting Summary

Cole Cabana has had a nice offseason. He’s posted several sub-11.0 second marks in the 100 meters and posted a 10.55 second time last weekend. Cabana has also showed off some versatility and pass-catching skills in 7-on-7 settings. The Dexter (Mich.) High star currently checks as the highest-ranked three-star running back prospect in On3’s rankings. If the spring is any indication, he could ultimately push for a fourth star.
