Personal Life

Jackson grew up in McKinney, Texas, playing quarterback from an early age, starting with flag football in first grade. He continued his football journey at Faubion Middle School, a feeder school for McKinney High School. He later enrolled at John Paul II High School, a Catholic college preparatory school known as one of the Dallas–Fort Worth area’s top academic institutions. There, Jackson excelled both on the field and in the classroom. As a freshman, he started for the Junior Varsity football team while also earning playing time with the Varsity squad. His leadership and talent were recognized when the senior players voted for him to start the final Varsity game of the season. Jackson became the full-time Varsity starter in his sophomore year, highlighted by a game-winning 50-yard touchdown pass that secured John Paul II’s first-ever victory in the Catholic Bowl, held at the Dallas Cowboys’ Star Stadium in Frisco, Texas. Always believing he could compete at the highest level of Texas high school football, Jackson convinced his parents to transfer him back to McKinney High School to play under the bright lights of McKinney ISD Stadium—widely regarded as one of the premier high school football venues in the nation.
