Reminds Us Of

Kobe Prentice has some of the best change of direction among receivers in the 2022 cycle. Prentice's versatile playmaking ability reminds us of T.Y. Hilton.
Team Predictions
Scouting Report
Fluid, fast receiver with elite change of direction skills and good ball skills. Has strong top-end speed, running a 10.81 mark in the 100 meters as a junior. Also turned in multiple sub 4.4-second times in the 40-yard dash at Alabama’s camp prior to his senior season. Harnesses that burst on the field, where he’s able to toggle speeds with ease, resulting in some of the best after-catch ability in the cycle. Has outstanding cut-back ability, reversing field with lateral agility. Shows the ability to high-point and come down with extended catches. Turned in a productive senior season with over 1,000 yards and 19 touchdowns.

Personal Life
Kobe Prentice originally committed to Maryland early in the recruiting process coming out of Calera (Ala.) High School. But when Nick Saban and Co. stepped up their pursuit – largely because he ran a 4.38-second time in the 40-yard dash and impressed at an Alabama summer – it was an easy decision to stay home and play for the Crimson Tide. Many insiders projected Prentice to be an immediate contributor for the Crimson Tide, largely because of his skill set but also because of his burning desire to be the best. “As far as talent, ability and mindset, he has all of those,” said former Alabama receiver Mike McCoy, who trained Prentice in high school. “He’s unique. He’s special. Kobe has everything to be a great one at Alabama.” Even Heisman Trophy-winning quarterback Bryce Young is a fan of Prentice. “He’s had great energy since the moment he stepped foot here on campus,” Young said. As a senior in high school, Prentice racked up 1,229 receiving yards and 19 touchdowns.
