Farmerville (La.) Union Parish three-star interior offensive lineman Ari Slocum has decommitted from Arkansas last month after the Razorbacks fired Sam Pittman.

But nearly a month a later — and after looking at his options — Slocum is back in Arkansas’ class after committing again on Tuesday.

“Back home where I belong,” he posted on Twitter, announcing his second commitment.

The 6-foot-3, 280-pounder’s first pledge to the Razorbacks lasted from January until September 30, when he chose to leave the class after Pittman’s firing.

“All I can say is wow,” Slocum told Rivals’ Sam Spiegelman reacting to the news. “Him being head coach definitely was a big part of why I committed.”

Now though, he rejoins a class that has taken some major hits over the past month. Since the beginning of September, the Razorbacks have lost 12 commitments, including 10 after news of Pittman’s firing broke. That includes all but two of their blue-chip commitments, and only 15 players remain in the class following Slocum’s decision to rejoin.

Slocum is the No. 1003 overall prospect and No. 96 IOL in the 2026 cycle, according to the Rivals Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all major recruiting media companies. He’s also the No. 28 player in Louisiana.
