2026 QB Kane Archer flips commitment from UCF to Utah

Greenwood (Ark.) three-star quarterback Kane Archer has flipped his commitment from UCF to Utah.
Plegded to the Knights since April 29, Archer is now set to head across the country to Salt Lake City next year. The Utes honed in on the signal-caller and have now added him to their 2026 class.
Archer is the No. 971 overall prospect and No. 53 QB in the 2026 cycle, according to the Rivals Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all major recruiting media companies. He’s also the No. 12 player in Arkansas.
The 6-foot-1, 200-pounder visited Utah at the end of the season, and as UCF added a commitment from four-star QB Rocco Marriott, Archer continued to trend toward Kyle Whittingham and Co. He now gives the Utes a second QB this cycle, flanking Hampton (Ga.) Douglas County three-star Michael Johnson.
