5-star PF Cam Williams down to 3 schools

Cam Williams, a five-star power forward in the 2026 class, has narrowed his list of schools down to three, he told Rivals. Moving forward, the 6-foot-11 senior out of St. Mary’s High School (AZ) will consider Arizona, Duke, and Texas. He has visited each of his finalists.
Prior to cutting his list down, Williams also received offers from Purdue, SMU, USC, Kentucky, North Carolina, and others .
Williams, a native of Phoenix, Arizona, is ranked as the No. 7 overall player in the class, according to the Rivals Industry Ranking. He’s also the No. 1 power forward and No. 1 player in the state of Arizona.
Williams talks Arizona, Duke, Texas
In a recent interview with Rivals, Cam Williams discussed each of the schools after his talents.
ARIZONA: “Things are real good with them. I talk to Tommy (Lloyd), like, every other day and Coach TJ (Benson) basically every day. Real cool, guys. And I all their system, honestly. But they really stand out to me because it’s like an hour and a half away from me, and I see they making Arizona kids a priority, for sure. I mean, that (location) really doesn’t matter to me, but if they want me and they’re doing everything they need to be doing, and that’s all that matters to me. I like their system too. They see me as kind of like a Carter Bryant or like Henri Veesaar-type. Kind of like how Koa (Peat) came in, he has a high impact. He’s going to be like their best player this year. So that’s what they see for me.”
DUKE: “My visit there was good. I liked their system probably the most because they play an NBA style of offense. They’re five-out and everybody’s guarding one through five. It’s positionless basketball, and that’s how it’s going to be at the next level. So that’s what I really liked about them. All the coaches there were cool. I was there for their Countdown to Craziness, it was crazy. There was a lot of people. It’s a small gym. I was expecting it to be bigger because, you know, on TV it looks big. But yeah, it was so crazy, though. It was packed out. And the support there is crazy. I love it. The atmosphere was Insane. It was insane. All those people coming in, it was nothing like it.”

TEXAS: “They got a new coaching staff with Sean Miller, and he’s really cool. He’s told me that I’m his number one priority, so that means a lot. And just going over his system, how he plays and all this stuff, I think I can see myself by fitting in there. He’s had guys like Lauri Markkenen and Aaron Gordon. And just the film that he showed me, I’ve kind of played similar to them. And he tells me the way they play their system, I would fit perfectly, and that I would be like the main, the focal points of the offense.”
What he’s looking for in a school
“I’m going to be looking for good environment; a school that’s going to get me the next level and just they’re going to max me out. So, yeah, I just want to be ready for the next level, and I want to win. I want win a national championship.
“I’m going to be looking for a play style that I fit well in, you know? So, it could be any of those schools, but as long as it’s the best for me and it helps me showcase my game and that helps us win, that’s all that matters.”
