Cincinnati flips 2026 CB Kameron Hurst from Washington State

Saint Louis Lift for Life Academy three-star cornerback Kameron Hurst has flipped his commitment from Washington State to Cincinnati.
Pledged to the Cougars since June, Hurst is now set to head to the Big 12 to play for Scott Satterfield and the Bearcats. He took an official visit to Cincinnati over the weekend.
Hurst is the No. 156 corner and No. 21 player in Missouri in the 2026 cycle, according to the Rivals Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all major recruiting media companies. He checks in as the No. 1,558 prospect overall.
The 6-foot, 170-pounder picked up an offer from the Bearcats, got to campus for a visit and quickly locked in ahead of National Signing Day. He gives Cincinnati 22 total commits in its 2026 class, which ranks No. 63 nationally, according to the Rivals Industry Team Recruiting Rankings.
As a senior for Life for Life Academy, Hurst has wrangled 74 total tackles, per MaxPreps. The Hawks are currently 7-4 this season and are in the quarterfinals of the Class 3 Missouri high school football playoffs.

More on Cincinnati Recruiting
With the addition of Hurst, Cincy now has five defensive backs on its pledge list. Dallas (Ga.) North Paulding three-star safety Markell Taylor headlines the group and has been in the class since June 24.
Taylor was one of nine June commitments for Satterfield and Co. On June 16, they landed Avon (Ohio) four-star defensive lineman Lance Dawson. He now checks in as the No. 394 recruit, No. 42 DL and No. 18 player in Ohio following this week’s rankings updates. Dawson is the lone blue-chipper in the class.
He’s also one of seven in-state commits, alongside the likes of Columbus Gahanna Lincoln three-star interior offensive lineman Luke Collins, Lewis Center Olentangy Orange three-star offensive tackle Luke Grover, Painesville Lake Catholic three-star IOL Nathan Zappitelli and Cincinnati Taft three-star linebacker Adam Kirtley.
Other top commits in the class include: Detroit Martin Luther King Jr. three-star safety Jaidon Windom, Belleville (Ill.) East three-star defensive lineman Jonathan Rulo, Detroit Central three-star DL Jeremiah Gray, Hephzibah (Ga.) three-star OT Solomon Mathis and Guntersville (Ala.) three-star wide receiver Dadrien Waller.
