Dylan Mingo, a five-star point guard in the 2026 class, is taking an official visit to NC State this weekend.

This will be the seventh visit for the 6-foot-5 rising senior of Long Island Lutheran (NY) as he’s also been to UConn, Washington, Miami, Alabama, Penn State, and Baylor.

Mingo also holds offers from schools like North Carolina, Oklahoma, Virginia, and others.

He is ranked as the No. 5 overall player in the Rivals Industry Rankings. He’s also the No. 1 point guard and the No. 1 player in New York.

Mingo on NC State

In a recent interview with Rivals, Dylan Mingo discussed the Wolfpack.

NC STATE: “Will Wade is standing out for me. Will Wade is a great coach. I mean, he won at McNeese, and I pretty much says it all, but he develops players and he wins and he gets them to the next level.”

Mingo knows what he’s looking for in a school.

“Pretty much winning. I want to go to a winning program. A place where I can develop, play through mistakes, and a coach that trusted me and believes in me.”

He also has a timeline for a commitment.

“The goal right now, if everything goes according to plan is to commit sometime between November 20th and December 5th. I could go after, but that’s the goal.”
