Iowa State commit Kaprice Keith sets official visit to Kansas State

All of the work that Chris Klieman and the Kansas State football staff have done on the recruiting trail this cycle so far came back in the summer. Each of the Wildcats’ 16 commits joined the fold from April-July.
With less than six weeks to go until the December signing period, KSU is getting in the mix for a Midwest safety that’s currently committed elsewhere in the Big 12.
Omaha Central (Neb.) three-star safety Kaprice Keith has been committed to Iowa State since Nov. 18 of last fall. As he approaches the one-year anniversary of his pledge to the Cyclones, Kansas State has jumped in the mix.
On Sept. 29, the Wildcats offered. Interestingly, that offer came from KSU wide receivers coach Matthew Middleton. The Sunflower State program is after Keith as a receiver, not a safety. Keith discussed the offer with K-State Online’s Drew Galloway earlier this month.
Now, Keith is set to take an official visit to Manhattan. He’s set to be in attendance for the final game of the regular season when Colorado comes to town on Nov. 28. That’ll be with signing day right around the corner.
Keith is the No. 833 overall prospect and No. 80 safety in the 2026 cycle, according to the Rivals Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all major recruiting media companies. He’s also the No. 6 player in Nebraska.

More on Kansas State Recruiting
Kansas State’s class currently checks in at No. 50 in the nation, according to the Rivals Industry Team Recruiting Rankings. That’s good for No. 9 in the Big 12. Of the 16 prospects committed to Klieman and Co., none are industry blue-chippers.
Englewood (Colo.) Cherry Creek wide receiver Maxwell Lovett and El Paso (Texas) Franklin interior offensive lineman Justin Morales are both Rivals four-stars and sit atop the class alongside Fort Worth (Texas) Christian EDGE Tucker Ashford.
Lovett is the lone receiver in the mix. The Wildcats would love to change that by flipping Keith.
Kansas State’s class has some heavy Texas influence. Morales and Ashford are two of six Lone Star State natives in the mix, alongside Austin Vandegrift quarterback Miles Teodecki, Amarillo West Plains offensive tackle Keegan Collins, Wolfe City running back HD Davis and Katy Jordan athlete Tanner West.
Teodecki was one of 12 June commits for the Wildcats. He’s now the No. 39 QB in the cycle.
“Kansas State has a special culture and coaching staff that is rare to find in college football these days,” Teodecki told Rivals in August. “Coach Klieman has done a great job building the program and Coach Wells develops quarterbacks at a very high level. They have big expectations for this 26 class and think we can do great things for the future.”
