Temple (Texas) four-star athlete <a href="https://www.on3.com/db/mikal-harrison-pilot-88718/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Mikal Harrison-Pilot</a> has a commitment date. The 5-foot-11.5, 185-pound prospect will be announcing his decision on Jan. 7 at the All-American Bowl, according to <a href="https://247sports.com/Article/Mikal-Harrison-Pilot-top-five-schools-recruiting-visits-200473568/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Steve Wiltfong</a> of 247 Sports. 



Harrison-Pilot is the No. 124 overall prospect and No. 4 athlete in the 2023 cycle, according to the <a href="https://www.on3.com/db/rankings/consensus-player/football/2023/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">On3 Consensus</a>, a complete and equally weighted industry-generated average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He is also the No. 24 player in Texas. 



It will be a busy December for Harrison-Pilot. <a href="https://www.on3.com/news/on300-ath-mikal-harrison-pilot-locks-in-tcu-houston-official-visits/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Per On3’s Sam Spiegelman</a>, he took an official visit to <a href="https://www.on3.com/college/tcu-horned-frogs/">TCU</a> last weekend and will be on an official to <a href="https://www.on3.com/college/houston-cougars/">Houston</a> this weekend. 



The Horned Frogs have received four visits from Harrison-Pilot and seem like the team to beat, according to the <a href="https://www.on3.com/db/mikal-harrison-pilot-88718/recruiting/116254/rpm/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine</a>. Right now, the RPM gives TCU a 64.9% chance to land Harrison-Pilot’s commitment. 



RPM was released to the public in December. The On3 engineering group teamed up with <a href="https://spiny.ai/">Spiny.ai</a> to create the industry’s first algorithm and machine learning-based product to predict where athletes will attend college. 



It factors in machine learning, social sentiment, visits and historical trends. However, expert predictions are still a big piece of the RPM equation.



Harrison-Pilot has an On3 NIL Valuation of <a href="https://www.on3.com/db/mikal-harrison-pilot-88718/nil/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">$132K</a>. The On3 NIL Valuation is an index that looks to set the standard market value for both high school and college-level athletes. The NIL valuation does not act as a tracker of the value of NIL deals an athlete has completed to date. It rather signifies an athlete’s value at a certain moment in time.

A three-sport athlete who plays baseball and also ran 11.02 in the 100 meters and 21.63 in the 200 meters in 2021. Fluidity and smoothness in his movements pops off the tape. An easy mover with looseness in his hips. 



“Has solid ball skills as a pass catcher and flashes the ability to high point the football. Shows his physicality when coming downhill in the run game and as a ball carrier. Needs to develop his footwork and hand placement in coverage. Has all the physical tools to play offense or defense at the next level but will need to refine his technical skills once he lands on either side of the ball.”
