4-star Nate Ament talks Creighton, updates recruitment
Nate Ament is the No. 46 player in the 2025 On3 150. The 6-foot-8 guard from Manassas (VA) Colgan High averaged 18.2 points, 9.0 rebounds, and 3.0 threes per game this season. He is playing this summer with the Team Loaded NC program on the Adidas 3SSB 16u Circuit.
“I’m a slasher and a playmaker,” Ament told On3. “I can shoot the three. I really take pride in my ball handling, something that I use to my advantage. If I have a smaller guy on me, I can use my post-ups. My handle has really developed this season. I’m not shaken by smaller guys guarding me when I bring it up. I watch a lot of Tyrese Haliburton; I like the way he facilitates to his teammates. He can set his team up but also score the ball.”
On3 caught up with Nate Ament after a live viewing at the CBG Grassroots Tip-Off to talk about the early stages of his recruitment.

“I have offers from Creighton, Bryant, Charleston, and NJIT,” Ament said.
*(editor’s note) Since this interview, Ament has added an offer from the new George Mason staff.
Creighton: “I haven’t seen too much of them. To be honest, I don’t watch a lot of college basketball. I know they can shoot the ball really well; everyone on the floor for them can shoot it. They had been watching me this season, and when I got the offer, they had seen I could shoot the ball and create and dribble. They said that at my size, my skill set would fit in with what they do.”

“Maryland and Virginia are some schools that have contacted us but haven’t offered yet,” Ament said.
In his words
“I want to go somewhere I can develop,” Ament said. “I’ll want to go into a situation where I can play confident and not have to worry about coming out. I want to play for a coach that will hold me accountable.
“Play style won’t really matter. I do want to play with freedom, but I’m versatile, so I’ll do whatever the coach needs me to do to get the win.”
