Ohio State lands commitment from European shooting guard Mathieu Grujicic
Mathieu Grujicic, a German-French shooting guard, has committed to Ohio State, he told On3.
The 6-foot-5 prospect most recently played for FC Barcelona’s second team and U19 team.
A highly touted European prospect, Grujicic — who doesn’t turn 18-years-old until June — says he also received college looks from schools like Tennessee, Kansas State, Clemson, Louisville, and others.
Grujicic took home an MVP award on three different occasions over the past year — at the Adidas Next Generation Tournament, NBA Basketball Without Borders Europe Camp, and at the U18 Spain Domestic Championship.
Prior to joining FC Barcelona, he played for Alba Berlin’s youth teams and also represented Germany at the U16 European Championships.

The Buckeyes will also welcome in two freshmen in four-star PF A’mare Bynum (No. 58 NATL) and four-star SG Dorian Jones (No. 93 NATL).
Ohio State missed the NCAA Tournament this season, finishing 10th in the Big Ten with an overall record of 17-15.
