Syracuse secures commit No. 1 in the 2028 class from offensive tackle Omari Lawson

Jacksonville (Fla.) Zarephath Academy 2028 offensive tackle Omari Lawson announced his commitment to Syracuse head coach Fran Brown and the Orange on Friday evening.
He is commit No. 1 for the ACC program in the sophomore class.
“Coach Fran, he a great coach, a great guy, and a great mentor,” Lawson told On3. “And I when I recently went on my visit it felt like home. The hospitality and the atmosphere was amazing.”
Syracuse was first to offer the 6-foot-6, 260-pound Lawson back in January. He visited for the recent game against Pittsburgh.
Lawson chose Syracuse over an early offer from Miami.
