Top-10 recruit Elijah Rushing names top 12 schools
Tucson (Ariz.) Salpointe Catholic four-star EDGE Elijah Rushing has named Arizona, Florida, Georgia, Miami, Michigan, Michigan State, Notre Dame, Oregon, Tennessee, UCLA, USC and Washington as his top 12 schools.
“These are the the schools that pursued me the hardest and/or is the best fit for what I do,” Rushing told On3.
Rushing is one of the top recruits in the 2024 cycle, ranking ninth in the 2024 On300. He also ranks second among EDGE rushers and second among recruits from Arizona.

He narrowed his list down to 12 schools from 31 current offers. However, he said there is still room for other programs to enter the mix.
“Other schools can still be in play,” Rushing said. “This where I am today.”
He has visited all 12 schools except for Michigan and Washington. He was most recently at Oregon this past weekend. The visit went well and he felt like a priority.
Other schools he visited this season include Arizona twice, Notre Dame and Arizona State.
Rushing hopes to continue narrowing down his list over the next few months.
“I am just trying to start moving towards a top 5 by the end of the spring,” Rushing said.
