Underrated: Rising 2027 RB Omari St. Fort scores twice as schools build relationships

DELRAY BEACH, Fla. — South Florida continues to be a fertile ground when it comes to producing top-tier high school football players, and one of the underrated gems of the 2027 class is running back Omari St. Fort from Atlantic Delray High School.

On Thursday night, the Palm Beach County program defeated the Miami-Dade County school, Norland 43-20. St. Fort was a significant reason why, scoring twice in the game.

“I feel as a team we played great,” St. Fort said after the game. “We made a couple of mistakes in the first quarter, but in the second half we picked it up. We figured out what we needed to do and came out and executed.”

The six-foot-two, 165-pound prospect proclaims he can play any skill position at a high level, but is only being recruited as a running back. He currently holds eight offers, but FIU, UCLA, UCF, USF, and Washington State are the schools showing him the most attention.

UCF and Washington State are standing out among the group.

St. Fort is building a relationship with running backs coach Jimmy Beal at UCF.

“We started last week, and we’ve been building up the communication. They are trying to get me to come to the games. I really like how they run the ball.”

FIU, UCLA, and Washington State are all looking to get St. Fort on campus, but the junior would love to develop a relationship with Ohio State, his dream school.

“I just like the culture and the football team at Ohio State.”
