Ta'Niya Latson arrived at Florida State as the Consensus top-ranked shooting guard recruit in the Class of 2022. The Plantation (Florida) American Heritage recruit was considered a five-star prospect, and she was named the 2022 Florida Dairy Farmers Miss Basketball and the Class 5A Player of the Year. Latson also was a McDonald’s All-American, scoring 15 points and three rebounds and a blocked shot in the game. In her junior season, Latson led Westlake High School to a national title and averaged 23.7 points, 2.8 assists and 2.9 rebounds while shooting 62% from the floor.
