Wake Forest releases baseball schedule
For the first time in nine years, Wake Forest’s baseball season won’t start in Winston-Salem.
The Deacons’ full schedule was released Tuesday afternoon. Wake Forest will open the season in Puerto Rico with games against Houston, Washington and Indiana State from Feb. 13-15.
Wake Forest will play home ACC series against Stanford, Florida State, California, N.C. State and Louisville.
“The 2026 schedule is packed with opportunities to test ourselves against some of the best teams in the country,” coach Tom Walter said through a news release. “We’ve got a veteran group coming back that knows what it takes to compete deep into the postseason.
“Opening in Puerto Rico will be an incredible experience, and we can’t wait to bring that energy back home to The Couch. Our fans make this place special, and we’re excited to chase another championship in front of them.”
Wake Forest was 39-22 last season, losing in the Knoxville regional of the NCAA tournament. The Deacons have reached the NCAA tournament in each of the last four seasons.
