Where does Minnesota commit Eli Diane rank in the 2027 Rivals300?

On Wednesday, the updated Rivals300 for the 2027 recruiting class was released and the updated rankings feature one Minnesota commitment.
Wayzata (MN) defensive end Eli Diane, the Gophers’ first commitment in their class, represents the Gophers within not just the top-300 prospects nationally, but the top 100.
In Wednesday’s update, the 6-foot-4 defensive end is ranked as the No. 85 prospect in the nation according to Rivals as well as the No. 10 EDGE rusher in the country. He’s also the state’s top prospect according to Rivals.
In the Rivals industry rankings, Diane also comes within the top-100 nationally at No. 90 while being ranked as the No. 11 EDGE rusher.
Diane committed to Minnesota in April over offers from Iowa, Iowa State, and Kansas State.
“Overall, the culture of the program is amazing,” Diane previously told Gophers Nation about the program. “They care about building you up and getting you where you need to be, and also the way the coaches carry themselves is amazing too.”
The Wayzata standout is one of two in-state prospects ranked within the Rivals300 as Benilde-St. Margaret’s DaJohn Yarborough is ranked No. 227 nationally. Yarborough is also ranked as the No. 13 interior offensive lineman in the country according to Rivals. The Minneapolis native holds offers from Alabama, Arizona State, Boston College, Florida State, Iowa State, Kansas, Kansas State, Maryland, Mississippi State, Missouri, Nebraska, and Wisconsin.
Minnesota currently holds two commitments in its 2027 recruiting class. Joining Diane is Mater Dei (CA) signal caller Furian Inferrera, a consensus three-star recruit. Inferrera is ranked in the rivals industry rankings as a top-500 prospect and top-40 quarterback.
