Mizzou breaks into AP Poll at No. 25

After receiving votes in the preseason AP poll and following a 61-6 win against Central Arkansas in Week 1, the Missouri Tigers have made their way into the Top 25 after beating Kansas 42-31.

The Tigers are the 11th SEC team in the rankings. Here is a full look at the AP Poll:

  21. Texas Tech
  22. Indiana
  23. Michigan
  24. Auburn
  25. Mizzou

In the coaches poll, the Tigers remain in the receiving votes category. They received the most at 142, putting them at No. 26.

At No. 25, the Tigers have their first ranking of the 2025 season. They ended the 2024 season at No. 19. Here is the full AP Poll top 25 and receiving votes list.

With a looming matchup against Louisiana, the Tigers are unlikely to boost their ratings much in Week 3.

But the following week is a matchup with No. 11 South Carolina. And on Oct. 11, No. 19 Alabama will be in Columbia, Mo.

With Auburn breaking into the rankings at No. 24, as well as No. 16 Texas A&M and No. 18 Oklahoma, the Tiger schedule now has five ranked opponents the rest of the way.
