Mizzou sticks at No. 19 in AP Poll

After its second bye week, Mizzou stuck right where it was in the AP Poll.
For the second consecutive week, the Tigers are at No. 19.
Mizzou climbed in the Coaches Poll, going from No. 20 to No. 17.
The Tigers opened the season receiving votes in the AP Poll and slowly climbed each week until Mizzou suffered its first defeat.
Mizzou entered the rankings at No. 25 after the Border War win in Week 2, then rose to No. 23 after Week 3. The Tigers cracked the top 20 at No. 20 after Week 4, then rose to No. 19 after Week 5. They jumped to No. 14 following their first bye week, but dropped to No. 16 after losing to Alabama.
After beating Auburn on the road, Mizzou rose to No. 15, but dropped to No. 19 after losing to Vanderbilt.
With four games left on the schedule, Mizzou has two teams left in the AP Poll.
This week, the Tigers face No. 3 Texas A&M which stayed in place after its own bye week. Then in a few weeks, Mizzou will go to Norman to take on No. 11 Oklahoma, which beat now-No. 23 Tennessee this week.
There was no change in the top 7 this week, but Nos. 8, 9 and 10 all lost.
Previously-No. 8 Georgia Tech lost to unranked North Carolina State and dropped to No. 16.
Previously-No. 9 Vanderbilt lost to previously-No. 20 Texas and dropped to No. 15. Texas rose to No. 13.
And Previously No. 10 Miami lost to unranked SMU and dropped to No. 18.
That opened spots in the top 10 for No. 8 BYU, No. 9 Texas Tech and No. 10 Notre Dame.
The biggest riser this week was a tie between Oklahoma, Texas and Utah. All three climbed seven spots.
The biggest fall this week was Tennessee, which dropped nine spots.
