Oregon transfer CB Jahlil Florence commits to Mizzou
Missouri addressed a primary position of need with its first transfer portal commitment.
The Tigers received the pledge of former Oregon cornerback Jahlil Florence on Monday, a source confirmed to MizzouToday. Florence visited Missouri this past weekend after declaring his intentions to transfer in early November.
During the 2023 season with the Ducks, the 6-foot-1, 195-pound cornerback suffered a knee injury that sidelined him for the following campaign. The now redshirt junior will have two seasons of eligibility remaining, leaving Oregon with 35 career tackles and two interceptions. He utilized a medical redshirt in 2024 and his regular redshirt in 2025.
Florence received a four-star rating in the 2022 class by On3. The San Diego (Calif.) Lincoln product ranked the No. 54 overall recruit in the nation. On3 ranked Florence 91st overall among transfers at his position.
Missouri saw all three of its primary cornerbacks — Stephen Hall, Drey Norwood and Toriano Pride Jr. — exhaust eligibility after the 2025 season. During his Early Signing Day press conference in December, head coach Eli Drinkwitz noted a need for multiple cornerbacks in the transfer portal.
The Tigers retained only two cornerbacks from the 2025 roster in redshirt sophomore Nick DeLoach Jr. (final year of eligibility in 2027) and redshirt freshman Cameron Keys (2028). Missouri also signed two cornerbacks in the 2026 class in Ahmod Billins and Jaxson Gates, who will enroll next month.
