Players to know
Offense
- Taylen Green, QB
After three seasons at Boise State, Green transferred to Arkansas last year and showed promise as a redshirt junior.
Now as a redshirt senior, the 6-foot-6, 235-pound QB has led one of the best offenses in the country.
He is 192-of-313 (61.3 percent) passing this season for 2,655 yards and 19 touchdowns. But his 11 interceptions have been one of Arkansas’ key issues.
He is also second on the team with 773 rushing yards and eight touchdowns on the ground.
Last year, the Tigers held Green to 21-of-35 passing for 229 yards and 53 rushing yards on 14 attempts. He did not find the end zone.
- Mike Washington, RB
After three years at Buffalo and a season at New Mexico State, Washington hit the portal and found Arkansas for his redshirt senior season.
The 6-2, 228-pound running back is one of the SEC’s leading rushers with 1,020 yards to go with eight touchdowns.
He is also a moderate threat out of the backfield as a receiver with 23 catches for 200 yards and a score through the air. He has reached 100 rushing yards in five games, including a 131-yard performance against Tennessee.
- O’Mega Blake, WR
Another portal add, Blake started his career with three years at South Carolina before spending a year at Charlotte.
Now the 6-2, 187-pound redshirt senior is flourishing as one of the SEC receiving yardage leaders.
He has 707 yards on 53 catches with four touchdowns this season for an average of 13.3 yards per catch.
Through the seasons first eight games, he had at least five catches and 60 yards. But the past three weeks have been a struggle.
Against Mississippi State he had just two catches for 18 yards, then he had just one catch for 17 yards against LSU. Last week he had just two catches for 29 yards against Texas.
Defense
- Xavian Sorey, LB
After spending three seasons at Georgia, Sorey hit the portal before the 2024 season and ended up at Arkansas. He instantly became a full-time starter, amassing 99 tackles last season.
His production has taken a slight step back to 78 tackles this season, but he also has 7.5 tackles for loss, 2.5 sacks, one forced fumble, three batted passes, one interception and four passes defended.
That’s a stat sheet stuffer as a 6-3, 225-pound redshirt senior linebacker.
The lone non transfer on my list here, Rhodes has been with Arkansas since 2023 when he appeared in nine games as a true freshman.
In his first season as a full-time starter, the 6-6, 275-pound junior defensive lineman has been a force when it comes to getting into the backfield.
He has 42 tackles this year, but 15.5 of those have come for loss with 8.0 sacks. He also has one forced fumble.
He’s among the SEC leaders in sacks and will try to play in Mizzou’s backfield as much as possible.
