Private Predictions Week 1

Here are my predictions for Week 1 Private Schools. Also included are the Massey Predictions
North Cross (0-0) at Nansemond Suffolk Academy (0-0)
North Cross has been to three straight VISAA DII championship games, and this year’s team may be better than the back-to-back State championship teams. North Cross won 56-0 at home last year, so Nansemond Suffolk will need to keep it close at halftime and limit the big plays. I don’t see another 56-0 win, but I don’t see a close game either.
Prediction North Cross 44 NSA 14
Massey North Cross 42 NSA 7
Norfolk Academy (0-0) at Currituck County (0-0)
The Bulldogs defeated Currituck County 34-21 on the road last year and have won there the past two seasons. Norfolk Academy has D1 Liberty University commit Hunter Winn on both sides of the ball, and I see them continuing their streak over Currituck County.
Prediction Norfolk Academy 35 Currituck County 14
Massey Norfolk Academy 28 Currituck County 14
Roanoke Catholic (0-0) at Isle of Wight Academy (0-0)
I did not receive preview surveys for either team. What I do know is Isle of Wight will have a new head Coach for the 1st time in 33 years. They also lost a few players to Surry. Roanoke Catholic was 6-3 last season, including a 40-26 win over Isle of Wight. I give the Celtics the edge on Friday
Prediction Roanoke Catholic 35 IWA 12
Massey Roanoke Catholic 24 IWA 23
Atlantic Shores Christian (0-0) at Fredericksburg Christian (0-0)
I did not receive preview surveys for either team. Frederick Christian won last year’s game on the road 16-15, and this year’s game is at home. For that reason, I’m predicting Fredericksburg Christian to pull out a close win.
Prediction: Fredericksburg Christian 22 Atlantic Shores 20
Massey Atlantic Shores 28 Fredericksburg Christian 21
