LEXINGTON, Ky. – No. 8-ranked Alabama (8-1, 6-0 SEC) will play Kentucky (6-3, 3-3) on the road in the Bluegrass State this morning. The Crimson Tide and Wildcats will face off at Kroger Field (102,733), and the SEC matchup is set to kick off at 11 a.m. CT on ESPN.

Alabama and Kentucky will meet for the 42nd time in series history and the first time in Lexington since 2013 when the cross-divisional foes face off today. The Crimson Tide holds a 38-2-1 all-time advantage, including a 15-2 mark in Lexington. Alabama is currently riding a seven-game winning streak against the Wildcats dating back to 2003.

PREGAME

— The SEC officiating crew for today’s matchup will be led by Ken Williamson.

— Alabama WR Jermaine Burton is sick and might not be able to play at Kentucky, said Nick Saban in his pregame talk with CTSN. Saban also said Deontae Lawson, Jaylen Key and Ja’Corey Brooks will be out today against the Wildcats.

— Alabama captains vs. Kentucky: Roydell Williams, Chris Braswell and JC Latham.

— Alabama DB DeVonta Smith (foot) is in uniform for the first time after missing the previous nine games.

— Jihaad Campbell and Trezmen Marshall are the inside ‘backers in 7-on-7 drills. Malachi Moore is at safety. In nickel, Terrion Arnold moves over to Star with Trey Amos coming on as the left cornerback.

— Kentucky wins the toss and elects to defer to the second half. Alabama will receive the opening kickoff.

FIRST QUARTER

— Jalen Milroe tries to shake it off but comes up limping and goes down after a 16-yard run. Ty Simpson is warming up while trainers attend to the starting quarterback.

— Jalen Milroe only misses one play. Crisis averted.

TOUCHDOWN: Alabama 7, Kentucky 0 (9:38)

— Jalen Milroe hits Amari Niblack for a 26-yard score. That was UA’s first opening-drive TD since Week 1 of the season.

— Kristian Story starts the game at safety, in place of Jaylen Key, with Malachi Moore starting at Star.

— Chris Braswell sacks Devin Leary to force a Kentucky three-and-out to start the game. Wildcats will punt from their own 11-yard line.

TOUCHDOWN: Alabama 14, Kentucky 0 (5:32)

— Jalen Milroe finds another open receiver for six. This time it’s Kobe Prentice (40 yards).

— UA secondary is now Amos and McKinstry at corner, Arnold at Star and Downs and Moore at safety on the second defensive drive.

TOUCHDOWN: Alabama 21, Kentucky 0 (5:12)

— Jalen Milroe with a 1-yard QB sneak. Play was set up by a Caleb Down fumble recovery.

— Kool-Aid McKinstry muffs the punt, and Kentucky recovers it at the UA 32 before it goes out of bounds.

— Caleb Downs flagged for PI on a throw to the end zone. Ball will be placed on Alabama’s 2-yard line.

TOUCHDOWN: Alabama 21, Kentucky 7 (1:30)

— Devin Leary finds Tayvion Robinson for (6 yards).

— Jalen Milroe remains in the game. It looks like he’s got some extra padding on his left thigh, though.

— Jalen Hale can’t make what would have been a tough catch. Alabama goes three-and-out on its fourth drive and will punt from its own 32.

— James Burnip bombs a 55-yard punt to flip the field at the end of the first quarter. Kentucky will take over at its own 13-yard line.

SECOND QUARTER

— Alabama forces its third three-and-out of the game, and Kentucky will punt from its own 20. Kool-Aid McKinstry is back deep.

— Jalen Milroe finds CJ Dippre over the middle for a big gain to UK’s 35.

TOUCHDOWN: Alabama 28, Kentucky 7 (10:14)

— Jalen Milroe finds Roydell Williams for a 26-yard TD, his third passing TD of the half.

— Kentucky with back-to-back big gains on Devin Leary passes, and the Cats are inside the red zone.

— Kentucky goes for it on 4th and 2 at the Alabama 9, but the Crimson Tide comes up with a sack. UA will take over at its own 13-yard line.

— Jalen Milroe rolls out and throws a pick on 3rd and 11. Kentucky will take over at midfield.

— Terrion Arnold dives in front of the throw and comes up with an INT. Alabama takes over at its own 31.

— Jalen Milroe throws this one away, and Alabama goes three-and-out, will punt from its own 28-yard line.

— Kentucky will punt at midfield with 0:40 remaining in the first half.

THIRD QUARTER

— Alabama flagged for roughing the passer on 3rd and 10. Kentucky is now in Tide territory at the 48.

— UK QB Devin Leary connects with his TE Josh Kattus for a 28-yard pickup to the Alabama 20-yard line.

— Devin Leary somehow avoids three Alabama defenders to complete a pass and bring up 3rd and 1 at the Tide 11. Kentucky calls a timeout before running the third-down play.

TOUCHDOWN: Alabama 28, Kentucky 14 (10:53)

— Ray Davis rushes for a 2-yard score to trim the UA lead.

— Roydell Williams with a nice kickoff return, bringing the ball out to the Alabama 35. He’s stepped in for Ja’Corey Brooks on kickoffs.

— On 3rd and 18 at the UK 45, Jalen Milroe hits Kobe Prentice for a 30-yard gain. Tide inside the red zone.

TOUCHDOWN: Alabama 35, Kentucky 14 (6:29)

— Jalen Milroe carries for a 2-yard score. It’s his second rushing score and fifth overall TD.

— Justin Eboigbe and Damon Payne combine to sack Devin Leary for an 11-yard loss to bring up 3rd and 21.

— Kool-Aid McKinstry catches the UK punt and returns it to the Cats’ 38.

FOURTH QUARTER

TOUCHDOWN: Alabama 42, Kentucky 14 (14:48)

— Jalen Milroe keeps it for his third rushing touchdown of the game and sixth overall.

— Ty Simpson is taking over at QB. Jalen Milroe’s day ends as the third player in program history to score six TDs in a single game, joining Tua Tagovailoa and Bryce Young.

— Darrian Dalcourt also checks in at center, replacing Seth McLaughlin, with 13:07 left to play in the game.

— Ty Simpson with a nice throw to Jalen Hale, who picks up yards after the catch for a 24-yard gain to the Kentucky 44-yard line.

— Ty Simpson with some nifty moves to move the chains. First and Goal at the Kentucky 6 coming up.

TOUCHDOWN: Alabama 49, Kentucky 14 (9:46)

— Jam Miller rumbles ahead for a 3-yard score, marking the RB’s first TD of the season.

— Alabama leads Kentucky, 49-14, with 9:46 left in the game. The Wildcats currently have 18 rushing yards on 18 total attempts. Dominant showing by the defense.

— Aaaand then Kentucky breaks free for a 74-yard run down to the Alabama 1.
