Alabama tight end Miles Kitselman plans to enter the NCAA transfer portal.

“I want to thank coach Saban and Coach Cox for giving me the opportunity of a lifetime,” said Kitselman in a statement on Wednesday. “I will forever be grateful for my time at the University of Alabama. After talking with family and close friends, I have decided to enter into the transfer portal with 1 year of eligibility remaining.”

A junior, Kitselman has spent the last two seasons with the Crimson Tide after one season at Hutchinson (Kan.) Community College. The 6-foot-5, 250-pound tight end played in 19 games over the past two seasons, including 13 during the 2023 campaign. Kitselman did not record any stats this year but caught two passes for 18 yards as a sophomore in 2022.

The transfer portal’s 30-day window opened on Monday, Dec. 4, but players on teams that played in bowl games on New Year’s Day received an extended window from Jan. 2-6.
