Former Alabama offensive tackle Kadyn Proctor has officially re-entered the NCAA transfer portal, according to On3’s Pete Nakos, after spending just three months at Iowa.

Proctor is listed with a “do not contact” tag, which means he knows where he is going. On Tuesday, he told On3’s Hayes Fawcett he would rejoin the Crimson Tide this summer.

On March 19, after the news, Proctor posted “I’m back” on his Instagram story.

As a true freshman, Proctor played in and started all 14 games at left tackle for Alabama last season. The 6-foot-7, 360-pounder was selected to the All-SEC Freshman Team.

Proctor was the third Crimson Tide offensive lineman to transfer since December, and with right tackle JC Latham also entering the NFL draft, Alabama was faced with replacing three starters. To start spring drills, the Tide only had four scholarship tackles on its roster.

But now with Proctor likely to return to Alabama, help is on the way to Tuscaloosa. He will be working in a new offense and under a new offensive staff with head coach Kalen DeBoer taking over since he left, but Proctor will be the most experienced tackle on the team.

A Des Moines, Iowa, native, Proctor was a Five-Star Plus player in the 2023 recruiting class, per the On3 Industry Rankings, and was considered the nation’s No. 9 overall prospect.
