One of Alabama’s top targets in the 2024 recruiting cycle announced a big change to his recruitment on Monday evening.

Jadan Baugh, a running back out of Decatur (Ga.) Columbia High School, announced his decommitment from Arkansas on Monday. This decision comes after the On300 prospect took his official visit to Bama over the weekend.

The primary schools in contention for Baugh now are Alabama and Florida. Baugh officially visited each of these programs over the past two weekends. In-state Georgia Tech was removed from consideration earlier this month.

Baugh collected an offer from the Crimson Tide back on Nov. 3 after running backs coach Robert Gillespie stopped by his school the week prior. Gillespie has seen Baugh and his family in person three times this month, including an in-home visit with Nick Saban last Thursday. Along with his official visit this past weekend, Baugh visited Bama for their game against Chattanooga on Nov. 18.

Following his official visit to The Capstone, BamaOnLine caught up with Baugh’s father, Corey Bryant. You can read the full interview with Mr. Bryant HERE. He had the following to say about Saban’s message to them over the weekend.

“Just straight talking football and how his plan would be to make Jadan a better person and a better student,” Mr. Bryant said of their time with Saban. “Ultimately, make him a better football player as well. Jadan took the message.

“His final message was that he would love to have him. He fits what Alabama wants in a recruit and in a player. That our family was the kind of family that he likes to recruit to Alabama.”

Baugh is expected to sign his National Letter of Intent on Wednesday. The Peach State product also has plans to enroll early at his future school. Per On3, the 6-foot-1, 215-pounder is the No. 21 running back in the Class of 2024.
