Just under three months into Kalen DeBoer‘s time as head coach of Alabama’s football program, the Tide have made significant progress on the recruiting trail. After Bama lost all but two commits following Nick Saban‘s retirement, the new staff has landed pledges from a half-dozen targets in the 2025 class. The Tide currently have the No. 6 recruiting class, per the On3 Industry Football Team Recruiting Rankings.

Interestingly enough, the offensive-minded DeBoer has landed commits from only defensive targets to this point. It remains to be seen what happens on the other side of the ball, especially at signal caller. BamaOnLine has an update on Alabama’s pursuit of five-star quarterback and USC Trojans commit Julian Lewis. There are also details on another quarterback committed elsewhere who is in contact with Bama.

There’s intrigue as well when it pertains to which skill position players the program will add in this class. Our latest War Room takes a look at some familiar recruits for Bama fans, including several who have locked in official visits to The Capstone. There are, however, a pair of new names to add to Alabama’s recruiting big board.

Alabama holds a commitment from just one prospect in the trenches thus far: Antonio Coleman. Coleman, who flipped from Alabama to Auburn on Dec. 22, flipped back to Bama in early March. BOL has more on Coleman, who continues to take visits and recently returned to Tuscaloosa. The latest War Room also takes a close look at additional targets on both sides of the trenches.

The linebacker room has been one of much discussion on the BOL Round Table. Alabama landed a trio of linebackers in March in Abduall Sanders, Darrell Johnson, and Luke Metz. The War Room will answer some key remaining questions. Who else remains inside linebacker targets for Bama? What options does the program have at the Wolf position?

The Tide are also looking to add more defensive backs to a class that currently features Derick Smith and Zymear Smith. There are some elite players on their radar, including California-based prospect Dijon Lee. Learn more about the Tide’s pursuit of prospects in the secondary and which ones are expected in T-Town for their official visits.
