Auburn’s win at Ole Miss Tuesday created a two-game winning streak in conference play.

Getting to three consecutive wins will be a very difficult task.

The Tigers will travel to Gainesville for a Saturday tilt with a Florida team that has won five straight league games. Oh, they’re also the defending national champions and a starting frontcourt that includes a 6-foot-9 guy, a 6-10 guy a 6-11 guy plus a 7-footer coming off the bench.

Auburn has some good traits. Length in the post is not one of them.

“It’s a team that’s got unbelievable size — especially (small forward) through (center),” coach Steven Pearl said. “One of the most importing physical teams in college basketball. Probably the best rebounding team in the country. They play well at home and they’re starting to find their stride.”

While the Gators have five losses this season, only one has occurred since Dec. 9. Meanwhile, Auburn is looking for its first win in Gainesville since the 1996 season. That’s a 15-game slide for the Tigers.

The game begins at 3 p.m. CST Saturday and will be televised on ESPN.
