The Florida State men’s basketball team is reportedly losing a third player to the transfer portal this offseason, and this is likely the most significant departure yet.

Forward Baba Miller, who started 32 of 33 games this past season as a sophomore, reportedly intends to “test the NBA waters” while entering the transfer portal. That is according to ESPN draft analyst Jonathan Givony.

Miller, a 6-11 forward from Spain, came to Florida State as one of the top prospects in the 2022 recruiting class and has been viewed as a player with NBA potential. But his career was delayed by an NCAA eligibility ruling, forcing him to miss half of his freshman season, and he was the Seminoles’ fifth-leading scorer this past season.

Miller averaged 7.6 points and 4.9 rebounds for a Florida State team that finished 17-16 overall and 10-10 in the ACC.

If he follows through with his departure, he will be the third Seminole to leave the program this offseason.

Point guard Primo Spears, who was essentially the team’s sixth man in his one year as a Seminole, entered the transfer portal last week, as did forward De’Ante Green.
