BREAKING: FSU lands a huge commitment from 4-star WR Brandon Bennett

FSU has been aggressively pursuing a recruiting splash as the program is in the middle of hosting 60 official visitors in a four-week span. The Seminoles welcomed a strong group of receivers last weekend, and now one of them — 2026 four-star wideout Brandon Bennett — has pulled the trigger on a commitment.
“AGTG (all glory to God), ‘Nole family let’s do it!” Bennett told On3’s Hayes Fawcett.
Bennett was a part of a strong American Heritage team last year where he finished with over 500 yards receiving and seven touchdowns. He also averaged over 20 yards per catch and was consistently one of the top playmakers for the Patriots.
The 6-foot, 185-pound standout gives FSU some juice on the trail again and continues the Seminoles’ run of success at American Heritage. Recent pledges from Heritage include transfer defensive backs Davonte Brown and Earl Little Jr. and incoming four-star defensive back Gregory “Zae” Thomas.
New FSU staff additions helped shift the recruitment
Though it didn’t hurt to have former American Heritage head coach Patrick Surtain on the staff, It was a spring visit to see an FSU practice that started to move the Seminoles up in this one.
“Really just getting [to see] the offense for the first time and it’s very explosive,” Bennett said after his spring visit. “It fits my playing style exactly how I would like it. … To me, this offensive system really stretches the field, gets their playmakers the ball and I feel if I were to come here, they are going to put me in position to make a lot of plays.

“And that’s all a receiver can ask for in regards to an offense.”
Seeing Gus Malzahn‘s offense in person combined with his connections with (and trust of) wide receivers coach Tim Harris Jr., Bennett was sold.
Michael’s analysis of Bennett commitment & what’s next
This was a commitment that was absolutely needed from a momentum and juice standpoint. Sure, the ‘Noles added a defensive line commitment in Wihtlley Cadeau over the weekend. But this pledge moves the needle some nationally.
I think it also shows how recruits are buying into this FSU offense as well.
They are far from done with this receivers position. The Seminoles also hosted four-star receiver Daniel Odom, whom FSU has started to make a move for (I think if quarterback Jaden O’Neal flipped from his pledge to Oklahoma this is one to keep an eye on). I also like where FSU is trending in the recruitment of FSU legacy recruit, four-star WR Devin Carter, who is committed to Auburn.
There’s also four-star receiver Keeyun Chapman, who officially visited over the weekend. North Carolina remains the main competition here. I’m told FSU felt good about Chapman’s visit and is in the picture.
Now, FSU needs to build off that with another big official visit weekend this week.
