Florida State building momentum with Sarasota OL Da'Ron Parks

Three-star offensive lineman Da’Ron “Doodles” Parks, who recently announced he will be making his commitment on July 26, is expected to decide between Florida State, Ohio State, Kentucky and Auburn.
Warchant has heard from sources close to Parks that the Seminoles have been trending very well in his recruitment, and that was apparent during his appearance this week on a podcast called, The Success Game Podcast with Josh Fields.
During a promotional clip released before the full podcast was posted later tonight, the Sarasota Cardinal Mooney standout was asked about the biggest gestures he has received from schools so far in his recruitment.
Parks wasted no time in giving credit to the Florida State coaching staff and how the Seminoles greeted him when he visited in the spring.
“Like all your visits, you just walk in the door, you get your name tag, whatever, go upstairs, do your meetings, whatever,” Parks said. “So like, I get off the golf cart, I’m walking in there, the head coach comes out, daps me up. I hear a whole bunch of music in there, it’s the chant song. So I walk in there, and every single staff member’s in there with the chant song playing, like clapping it up. I dapped up every single staff member in the facility. That was the most different thing I’ve ever seen.”

Florida State’s staff has been organizing these grand entrances for recruits for the past few years now under head coach Mike Norvell, but Parks’ reaction shows they still make a strong impression on recruits.
According to Rivals, the 6-foot-4, 360-pound Parks is the 213th-best recruit in the class and the No. 10 interior offensive lineman.
Florida State already has two interior offensive linemen committed in the 2026 class: three-stars Jakobe Green and Mike Ionata.
