They're baaaaack! Florida State WRs Johnny Wilson, Keon Coleman to play vs. Miami
For the first time in three weeks, the Florida State football team will have both of its star wide receivers available. And it couldn’t come at a better time.
With the No. 4 Seminoles preparing to host rival Miami today at 3:30 p.m., both Keon Coleman and Johnny Wilson are expected to play, a Florida State spokesman confirmed to Warchant and other media outlets Saturday morning.
Coleman, who leads FSU with 38 receptions for 538 yards and nine touchdowns, was held out of the Pitt game last Saturday with what was believed to be a minor injury.
Wilson, who ranks second on the team with 25 catches for 415 yards and two touchdowns, has missed the last two games due to injury.
The Seminoles, who are 9-0 on the season, are favored by 14.5 points against the rival Hurricanes. Miami comes into the game with a 6-3 record.
Even without Wilson and Coleman, Florida State quarterback Jordan Travis was able to pass for a season-high 360 yards last week at Pitt. He threw for 359 yards one week earlier against Wake Forest.
FSU ranks 18th nationally in passing offense with 293.9 yards per game; Miami ranks 55th in pass defense, allowing 222.2 yards a game.
