Warchant TV: Florida State QB DJ Uiagalelei, freshmen open up on recruitment, 2024 goals
Florida State’s transfer haul for 2024 ranks 4th in the nation and though he may not be the highest rated player in the class, quarterback DJ Uiagalelei will undoubtedly have the opportunity to make the biggest impact on the forthcoming season.
Uiagalelei, who most recently played for Oregon State, initially enrolled at Clemson as a 5-star QB coming out of high school and was intrigued by the vision and leadership of head coach Mike Norvell.

“I wanted to be here at Florida State,” said Uiagalelei who is the 52nd ranked prospect in the portal. “This is the place I want to be.”

Florida State opens the 2024 season in the Aer Lingus College Football classic vs. Georgia Tech on Aug. 24 in Aviva Stadium in Dublin, Ireland.
The Seminoles finished the season 13-1 with an ACC Championship and its first New Year’s Six bowl berth in 7 seasons.
Florida State has added 14 players from the transfer portal and a high school recruiting class that finished 14th in the 2024 cycle. The Seminoles also have a verbal commitment from Ivy League standout Jacob Rizy of Harvard; he is anticipated to enroll in the summer.
