Warchant TV: FSU coordinators Malzahn, White recap Game 2 blowout
The Florida State football team improved to 2-0 on the season after a dominating performance against East Texas A&M in Doak Campbell Stadium on Saturday.
Florida State offensive coordinator Gus Malzahn had the offense humming to the tune of 10 consecutive touchdown drives to start the game, only two of which lasted longer than three minutes.
The Tony White-led defense limited the Lions to just 197 yards and created nine tackles for loss and two turnovers.

Florida State will face Kent State on Saturday, Sept. 20, inside Doak Campbell Stadium. It will be first meeting between the two programs. The Golden Flashes dropped to 1-1 on the season after a 62-14 loss at Texas Tech.

FSU will begin its ACC slate on Friday, Sept. 26 in Charlottesville against the Virginia Cavaliers. The teams last met in 2019 when the ‘Hoos held off the ‘Noles, 31-24, in Scott Stadium. Virginia surrendered 21 points in the fourth quarter in Raleigh vs. N.C. State on Saturday in a 35-31 loss.
