Warchant TV: Mike Norvell gauges effort after first Florida State spring practice of 2024
Florida State head coach Mike Norvell was pleased with the energy and effort following the first day of spring practice.
Norvell also expressed his excitement to see former players Jarrian Jones, Akeem Dent, Jordan Travis and others attend practice while also add alums to support staff roles.
Florida State returns to practice on Thursday afternoon.
The annual spring game, now marketed as the Spring Showcase, will be played on April 20 at 4 p.m. inside a reduced capacity Doak Campbell Stadium that remains under construction with an expected completion of summer 2025.

Florida State opens the 2024 season in the Aer Lingus College Football classic vs. Georgia Tech on Aug. 24 in Aviva Stadium in Dublin, Ireland.
The Seminoles finished the season 13-1 with an ACC Championship and its first New Year’s Six bowl berth in 7 seasons.
Florida State has added 14 players from the transfer portal and a high school recruiting class that finished 14th in the 2024 cycle. The Seminoles also have a verbal commitment from Ivy League standout Jacob Rizy of Harvard; he is anticipated to enroll in the summer.
