Warchant TV: New blood, same approach as Florida State begins bowl prep down in South Florida
DAVIE — The No. 5 Florida State football team (13-0, 9-0) arrived in Fort Lauderdale on Christmas Night and hit the practice field in neighboring Davie on the camps of Nova Southeastern University on Tuesday morning.
As the ACC champion Seminoles continue to deal with opt-outs, including the loss of projected starting QB Tate Rodemaker hours before departing Tallahassee, head coach Mike Norvell continues to lead with his usual energy and enthusiasm.
The bowl practices also afford Florida State the opportunity to integrate early enrollees into their work process. While they are unable to play in the bowl game, incoming freshmen such as top-5 2024 quarterback Luke Kromenhoek were able to suit up and practice along side the 2023 team.
Managing editor Ira Schoffel and director of digital media Aslan Hajivandi are on site and wrapped up the first day of practice for Florida State and also provided video footage from the opening periods.

No. 5 Florida State (13-0, 9-0) will play in its first New Year’s Six Bowl since an appearance in the 2016 Orange Bowl.
The Seminoles are coming off a 16-6 win in the ACC Championship Game vs. Louisville. No. 6 UGA fell in the SEC Championship Game to No. 4 Alabama 27-24
Florida State will be without NFL Draft hopefuls Johnny Wilson, Trey Benson and Fabien Lovett. The Seminoles are also likely to be without several of their portal entrants.
