Isaiah Oliver makes college decision
Waukee Northwest wide receiver Isaiah Oliver has made his college decision. The 6-foot-0, 195-pound prospect, whose father Dean Oliver played basketball at Iowa, is also going to be a Hawkeye. Today, he announced that he has accepted a preferred walk-on opportunity from the Iowa football team.
“What influenced my decision was a lot of things,” Oliver told HawkeyeReport.com. “I have a lot of family connections to the school, it’s close to home, and not only that but the staff and people is what makes it so special.”
As a junior, Oliver had a productive year for Waukee Northwest with 36 catches for 430 yards and six touchdowns. That helped him earn scholarship offers from South Dakota, South Dakota State, North Dakota, North Dakota State, and Northern Iowa, but once the preferred walk-on opportunity from Iowa came in, it was too hard to pass up.

“I know that they will develop me into the best player and man that I can be,” said Oliver. “That is what I am most excited for.”
