Kansas State CB Jacob Parrish declares for NFL Draft

In news that is not surprising if you’ve followed our work on KSO in the past week or so, Kansas State cornerback Jacob Parrish will forego his final season at the university and declare for the NFL Draft. It comes on the heels of a strong junior year in Manhattan.
Parrish finished the season with 50 tackles, 40 of the solo variety, collected seven pass break-ups and notched one interception. For his career he had five interceptions and broke up 19 passes and totaled 108 tackles.
The K-State cornerback saw his draft stock soar in recent months. Though not the biggest of defensive backs at a listed 5-foot-10 and 198 pounds, the Olathe North product is plenty physical, sticky in coverage and will test very well at the NFL combine when it comes to the speed measurements.

He follows a healthy line of defensive backs that will play in the NFL after a stint with Chris Klieman, Van Malone and Joe Klanderman at Kansas State. A few worth mentioning are Russ Yeast, Josh Hayes, Julius Brents and Ekow Boye-Doe.
It is unclear at this time if Parrish will play in the K-State bowl game. They are set to take on Rutgers in the Rate Bowl December 26 at Chase Field in Phoenix.
