Kansas State has landed another one of their top targets, which has been a constant theme for Chris Klieman and company in both the 2023 and 2024 classes. Lyndon High offensive lineman Kaedin Massey has committed to the Wildcats.

The decision comes after his official visit to K-State this past weekend where he was joined by fellow Kansas State targets in Junction City linebacker Michael Boganowski, St. Louis defensive end Caleb Redd and Arizona-based cornerback Plas Johnson.

Massey also took official visits to Ole Miss, Nebraska and Oklahoma before making the choice to make the call for the Wildcats. He also held other offers from Duke, Iowa State, Kansas, Michigan State, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, Northwestern, Oklahoma, Oklahoma State, Ole Miss, and Stanford before picking K-State.

His most recent trip to Manhattan was the sixth time visiting Klieman and the Wildcats. The Kansas State strategy of wanting to be the last school the Sunflower State native saw worked out to their benefit yet again.

The three-star 8-man football product emerged as a nationally recognized recruit after his junior football season. Much of his rise even came after his basketball season and an impressive showing during the UC Report Camp in Kansas City in April.

K-State coaches Conor Riley and Taylor Braet developed a great relationship with the offensive tackle, which sealed the deal. The Wildcats were his third offer and continued to communicate with him. Massey also grew up a fan of K-State, specifically Collin Klein who will now be his offensive coordinator.

He is a three-sport star for the Lyndon Tigers. He was honorable mention All-League in basketball this past season. Massey is also a three-time regional discus champion and won the regional shot put competition this season, too.

Offensive lineman Gus Hawkins was the first from the Sunflower State to commit to Kansas State in the 2024 recruiting cycle and he was eventually followed by Blue Valley running back John Price. Massey is the third.

As alluded to earlier, the Wildcats are also in hot pursuit of Junction City linebacker Michael Boganowski.

It also makes four members of the offensive line class in 2024. Massey joins a group that already consists of the previously mentioned Gus Hawkins, but also Pennsylvania native Ryan Howard and Des Moines standout Kyle Rakers.

According to the On3 Industry Ranking (combination of the four networks), Massey is a three star recruit and the No. 4 player in the state of Kansas.
